What is FTP?

FTP: File Transfer Protocol

is the simplest and most secure way to exchange files over the Internet or network based on Internet Protocol.  To transfer files with FTP, you can use a program like FileZilla Freeware FTP Program  to connect to server or remote computer that runing FTP Server Software.  After connected, you can upload and download files between two computers.

Why using FTP Transfer files?

Some web site had both service for transfer file with “HTTP” and “FTP”.  But we are fully recommened to use FTP for transfer files because is very faster that “HTTP”

Example for using FTP

  1. For Webmaster: Transfer Files to Web Hosting
  2. For Network admin:  Transfer or Download Driver and Utility program
  3. For Home Use:  Transfer or download Freeware program, Anti-Virus program etc.
