Change Windows XP Startup and Shutdown sound

Are you boring Windows Startup and Shutdown Sound?  Don’t worry ! It’s very easy to change with your preferred sound by replace with anohter files sound.  You also can change Logon / Logoff Sound, Error Sound, Recybin Sound and etc.

How to change Windows Sound?

  1. Prepare your sound and convert any sound file to .WAV file  (Maximum file size is 1 MB.)
  2. Go to folder C:\Windows\Media
  3. Windows XP Startup and Shutdown sound

  4. Select any Windows sound file and backup by rename old file as example : Windows XP Startup.old  and rename your preferred sound file to Windows XP Startup.wav
  5. Do the same item no. 3 again for any events sound file of Windows
