What do the new security icons mean?

Windows XP SP2 contains a new set of security icons that can help you recognize potential security risks and choose appropriate security settings. Here’s what each new icon means.

Icon Firewall 1  Indicates important security information and settings.

Icon Firewall 2  Notifies you of a potential security risk.

Icon Firewall 3  Good secure. Your computer is using recommended security settings.

Icon Firewall 4  Warning: Need to adjusting security settings to enhance the secuirty.

Icon Firewall 5  Your computer’s current security settings are not recommended.

Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) is a free update from Microsoft. It offers enhancements and better protection against viruses, hackers, and worms.  You can also download from Microsoft Update web site.
