How to copy file by using Remote Desktop Connection

Remote Desktop Connection  - Free remote support tools from Windows XP 

By default, if you are remote to anohter computer by using “Remote Desktop Connection” in Windows XP.  And if you need to copy a files from remote computer, you  will can’t see the “local drive”

However you also can copy files pass through “Remote Desktop Connection” by make your local disk drives available in a session and then you will find the local drive when remote.

How to make your local disk drives available in a session?

  1. Click ”Start” then “All programs” then click “Accessoires” 
  2. In the “Remote Desktop Connection” window, click “Options”.
  3. On the “Local Resources” tab, Under “Local devices and resource”, click “More” and then click “Drives”.

  4. Select any Drive to connect as “local drive”
  5. Click ”Connect” to start remote
  6. When you copy “Windows Explorer”, you will found group “Other” and local drive there   

    7. Local Drive in Remote Desktop

  7. Done
