One of new change from Windows Vista, Not display icons on desktop such as My Computer, Recycle Bin or Network. But if you need to take it back to your desktop.  It’s easy and need just to do some steps.

How to display icons on Desktop in Windows Vista?

  1. Right-click on Desktop and then select “Personalize”
  2. On Personalize page, click “Change desktop icons”
  3. “Desktop Icon Setting” window displayed
  4. Show Icons on Desktop in Windows Vista

  5. Click check mark for any icons you need to display
