Can’t use connect “Remote Desktop Connection”

Remote Desktop Connection is a free program including with Windows XP Professional, enables you to connect to your computer across the Internet and network from virtuallly any computer, Pocket PC, or Smartphone. So you can use  mouse and keyboard control everything.   This is a features good for support team too.

If you can’t use connect “Remote Desktop Connection”,  just try to check the following step below;

Allow remote Assistance

  1. Click “Start” then click “Control Panel”
  2. Then click “Performance and Maintenance”
  3. Then click “System”
  4. Click the Remote tab, select the “Allow users to connect remotely to this computer” check box
  5. Allow remote Assistance

  6. Then click OK.

Check Windows FireWall 

  1. Click “Start” then click “Control Panel”
  2. Then click “Security Center”
  3. Under Manage security settings for, click “Windows Firewall”
  4. Make sure the “Don’t allow exceptions” check box is not selected
  5. Check Windows FireWall

  6. Click the “Exceptions” tab, and verify that the “Remote Desktop” check box is selected.
  7. Click “OK”
